Recently, I have discovered my true passion within interior design : the psychology of space.
There is a beautiful science behind how we feel in each of our spaces, and why - good design can truly manipulate the way someone experiences and behaves within a venue. Many designers have the intuition to design this way, but my new goal is to find the research behind environmental psychology so that I may apply this science to my designs purposefully.
This image features my "To Be Read" list... and I am loving every second of learning (head to my "Contact Me" page to check out which book I am currently reading). To present my studies at the end of the semester, I will be writing an all-in-one guide of how to use lighting, color, spatial configuration, and more to create a space meant to benefit the people in it. I will also be adding in "book reviews" and other findings along the way so I may come back and revisit all of the knowledge I am taking this time to soak up! Spaces should be beautiful, but they should first and foremost make us feel good.
The final project will be presented both here on my website, and on my Design Instagram!
